Ingredients

  • 1 two-inch stick of cinnamon (broken in half if needed)
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 whole orange, strips of zest
  • 4 strips of zest
  • 3 sugar cubes (or roughly a tablespoon)
  • 3 cups hot water
  • 3 large tablespoons of dark roast coffee
  • Lemon wedge, for rimming glasses
  • Sugar, for rimming glasses
  • Brandy, to top

Directions

  • Place all items in a French press, add water let steep for 2-3 minutes.
  • Press and pour to serve.
  • Run a cut lemon wheel around half the rim of each glass and dip in sugar.
  • Pour coffee into cups and add a shot of brandy to each, if desired.
